Creation and our founder
This trust was created by the Testator, Late Shri B Arasoji Rao on 13th November, 1945 and named B. Arasoji Rao Charities. It is located at No.9, Rashtriya Vidyalaya Road, Vishvesharapuram, Bangalore. Its objectives confirm with the letter and spirit of the Testator, being the diffusion of knowledge relating to education, knowledge and culture.
The aims of our trust are:
- Opening and Maintaining hostels for welfare of poor and Needy students.
- Providing scholarships, books, fees and rendering other assistance towards the welfare of poor and needy students
- Organizing workshops and seminars to impart skills and training to poor and needy students.
- To establish, run and maintain a KALYANA MANDIR for the purpose of marriages and functions of the Hindu Community.
- To organize religious, cultural and social activities for the betterment of the Hindu Community.
- To provide medical and quality health care to enable all members of the community to lead healthy and productive lives.

Since 1945, the trust has been involved in the following philanthropic activities
- Rendering assistance to Under privileged families.
- Ensuring that children belonging to under privileged families have access to schools and quality education.
- Encouraging students form under privileged families to pursue higher education by rendering financial aid to them in the form of scholarships.
- Encouraging students from under privileged families to take an active interest in sports and other beneficial activities.
- Providing timely medical assistance to underprivileged families.
- The trust operates a Choultry for community based activities and functions.
- The trust also owns a commercial complex which contributes to the revenues of the trust.
- The trust also manages two popular temples in Bangalore.
- The trust has taken up construction of a fifty room girls hostel with financial support of the public.
