Scholarship Assistance
The first program undertaken by the trust was to offer scholarships for needy. and deserving school children and students from the erstwhile Mysore State and now, the State of Karnataka. The beneficiaries of the Scholarship Assistance rendered by the trust are from all over Karnataka and a majority of them are from Bangalore The trust takes great pride in the fact that over 25,000 students have acquired higher education and have benefitted from the financial assistance rendered by the trust
Indira High School Doddabidarkallu
The trust observed that a number of schools in poor localities are unable to sustain themselves and are closing down, thereby effectively denying affordable education to deserving students. Hence, the trust took over the management of Indira High School, Doddabidarkallu in 2023. The trust has succeed in providing schooling to more than 600 pupils and plans to increase the number to 1200. A Library, powerful tool for community empowerment, education and. resource accessibility, with web access is proposed in the under construction Jijamata Girls hostel.
Community Welfare
B Arasoji Rao Choultry, RV Road, Visveshwarapuram
One of the most important activities of the trust was to construct a community hall to help celebrate cultural, social and religious functions at a nominal cost. The B Arasoji Roo Charity Choultry was constructed in 1950 and was later expanded and renovated in 1998. It accommodates about 1000 persons and is leased out for various functions and activities.
Dharani
This is a non-profit matrimonial service which is enthusiastically managed by women volunteers of the Maratha Community. So far, 3000 couples have been brought together in holy matrimony due to the sincere efforts of Dharani,


Sanatan Dharma
Keeping in view, the desire of Shri Arasoji Rao and our objectives, our trust has undertaken several measures to preserve and conserve Sanathan Dharm. The trust has also resolved to take care of such temples which require support. Trust has taken over management of two temples in Bangalore that have religious significance to the Hindus and especially to the Marathas
Shree Panduranga Vittala Temple
Rajaji Nagar was constructed in May 1964 to fulfill the longstanding demand of the local Maratha Community and the numerous devotees of Lord Vittala. Since then our Trust has managed the temple and successfully conducts daily rituals and major religious functions. These religious functions are attended by thousands of devotees. Since 2012, on request of the then existing management, our Trust manages the affairs of Shree Kollapur Mahalakshi Temple, Killari Road, Chikpet. Situated in the crowded business district of Chikpet, Kollapur Mahalakshmi Temple is 350 years, constructed by Shaji Bhonsle reflecting the famous Mahalakshmi Temple of Kolhapur. It is said that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj got married in this temple. We have been successfully conducting the annual Rath Yatras and the Navami Pujas to the satisfaction of the devotees.
Jijamata Girls Hostel
Our Trust has taken a major step in realizing the wishes of our benefactor Shri B Arasoji Rao and to meet one of the long-standing demands of our community to build Jijamata Girls Hostel at RV Road, Bengaluru to provide free safe and secure accommodation for young women pursuing higher studies. This Hostel will accommodate about 100 individuals, have state of the art facilities including digital access, common room, digital library, indoor games. This project is estimated to cost around Rs 15 crores approximately and is scheduled to be completed by May 2025. We expect leading philanthropists to support our endeavor.


Financial Support
Our Trust has a four storied commercial complex in our premises. The complex has been leased to augment our revenues and fund scholarship programs, undertake social services, participate in community-oriented activities Apart from the income from Choultry, Commercial Complex, two temples and High School, our Trust depends upon generous support of philanthropists, corporates and Government. The major source of income is from the commercial complex but is not sufficient to carry out the activities of the trust. Our trust is supported by magnanimous philanthropists and donors in ensuring we do an efficient, effective and a commendable job
Social Outreach
The following are the social service activities carried out by the trust The trust actively coordinates with NGOs and other organisations in organizing free medical checkups, eye camps and blood donation drives. The trust also coordinates with leading doctors to spread awareness on important medical issues and disease prevention. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, our trust went above the call of duty and rendered yeoman service by providing food, sanitisers and arranging hospital beds and medical facilities for the welfare of downtrodden sections of the society. The trust puts special emphasis towards empowering differently abled persons to become self-reliant and lead a life of dignity and respect. Through the direct management of Indira High School, the trust aims to empower students in both education as well as sports. The trust believes in the old adage of A sound mind in a sound body.” Students studying in Indira High School have benefited a lot from the assistance rendered by the trust. The trust is also planning on providing vocational training in activities such as tailoring, dress design and manufacture to members of the community so that they become self-reliant and are able to lead economically productive lives. The Maratha Community has left a great culinary legacy in the city of Bangalore in the form of

Military Hotels such as the famous Shivaji Military Hotel in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The trust aims to support budding entrepreneurs from the community who wish to establish such military hotels in Bangalore. The trust will handhold such entrepreneurs by imparting skills from cooking to management of the hotels. The trust wishes that the culinary legacy of the community should be enjoyed and relished by all sections of the society.
The trust also plans to engage in microfinance and in providing small scale loans to businessmen from the Maratha community. This will encourage entrepreneurial spirit amongst the community and bring in economic prosperity to the members of the community.
The trust also wishes to bring in awareness about the establishment of cooperatives by the members of the Maratha Community in Karnataka. In Neighboring states like Maharashtra, Sugar Cooperatives have brought in a lot of prosperity to members of the Maratha Community in Maharashtra. The trust wishes to replicate the same success here in Karnataka.
The trust also wishes to work with Government agencies such as the Maratha Communities Development Corporation to bring awareness about the various schemes instituted by the Government of Karnataka for the welfare of the Maratha Community.
